On Tuesday June 16, 2009, 7:30 pm Mary Richardson will be airing an update on Alexei Saponchikov, now Alex Daniel O’Brien. In 1997 Alosya came to Milton though the Project from Belarus. He remained here for medical care and was later adopted. Chronicle did a story about his life in an orphanage in Belarus at that time and will now update everyone on his life now in America.
The segment will also highlight the story of Zina Dunderova. Zina, a 13 year old girl from Klintsy, Russia received spinal fusion surgery on April 15th. Zina will discuss her experience with the project and its life-saving impact on her life.
The story will help spread the word on the good work and continued success of the Chernobyl Children Project and its remarkable impact on the lives of the forgotten children of Chernobyl.
